I came from quite a poor background. I tried to do as well as possible

I came from quite a poor background. I tried to do as well as possible when I was at school. However we had been the first students for the new module GCSE exams in 2004. I left with a grade C in English Language, English Literature, History and Geography. I went on to college to study to become a playgroup assistant. I so wanted to learn to drive a car. I had to get two buses to college and the journey was tiring. I wondered about driving lessons prices when I was sixteen years old. Whilst browsing in a bookshop I found some books written by the DSA. Those books would help me pass my theory test. So I bought two of them.
Three weeks before my seventeenth birthday I rang up Blue Car Driving Lessons and asked them the driving lessons prices. The owner told me that ten lessons cost £100. One lesson at a time cost £14. I phoned up Brick Street Driving Lessons. The owner said that the driving lessons prices were £12 for one hour and £15 for two hours. I rang up Bob's Driving Lessons. He said that the driving lessons prices were £11 for one hour and £17 for two hours. I thought it I didn't get on well with learning to drive I could always get a motorcycle.
My mum delighted me on my seventeenth birthday with a voucher for one hundred and fifty pounds for driving lessons with Blue Car Driving Lessons. My instructor was called David and he was a cool sort of guy. He always had a t-shirt and shorts on whatever sort of weather it was. I liked learning to drive a car with him. When I had used up all the voucher I had to pay for my own driving lessons. That was quite challenging. I got a job on a Saturday to afford two hours driving lessons a week.
I passed my theory test and hazard perception really easily. David had been delighted and got me to book my practical driving test for 20th August. On the day of my test I was really nervous. I managed to back around the corner quite well, do a turn in the road well and an emergency stop. I was so amazed when the examiner said I had passed my driving test. Wow! It was a dream come true. When I began working at the Little Acorns Playgroup I managed to afford to purchase a second hand car.
